Due to its age and some age and some damage caused by a 1998 tornado, Warner was closed and the students were housed in the Lockeland building at the end of the 2002-2003 school year. During the 2003-2004 school year, the building was extensively renovated. It has been brought to ADA standards, including an elevator, ramps, and railings. We have new heating and air conditioning systems, a new intercom and phone system, and lowered ceilings. Bathrooms were added in all Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First grade classrooms. All group bathrooms were torn out and replaced. The wood floors were refinished, new tile and new carpet were added in the hallways and classrooms, and new cabinetry and furniture were provided for the offices. All inside surfaces were painted. All improvements were done in compliance with regulations of the Historical Registry, which specifies that the outside appearance of the building not be changed.
